Introducing the handsome Zinc,

Zinc is an incredibly loving individual and thrives in the company of his faviourate human companions. He has proven to be very affectionate and friendly with anyone that’s had the pleasure of meeting him.

He has a great deal of energy and a keen drive to learn. An ideal home would need to have the time to provide both physical and mental stimulation to ensure his needs are being met. This would consist of long countryside walks, obedience training and potentially a more advanced outlet like scent work. He will make a perfect addition to a family that are active and outdoorsy.

Zinc is highly motivated by food which has been extremely beneficial with his training. His eagerness to please people makes him the perfect student and he has already learnt sit, down and is in the process of learning wait. He is highly intelligent so his new home will need to continue with positive reward based training in the home to expand on his skills.

He would need an owner who is confident and patient in handling large dogs. Zinc walks lovely on a lead, but he can forget his strength when saying hello to new people. Due to Zinc’s size and excitable manner he would be best suited to an adult only home or children that are 16 years+.

He walks nicely with other calm dogs here at the centre and would really benefit from meeting up for doggy play dates once he has settled in the home. However, at this time he would like to be the only dog in the home so he can have all the snuggles for himself.

Zinc truly is the perfect companion! If you could offer him the home he is searching for then please fill out a perfect match form.
