Our handsome Labrador cross Hades is on the search for his perfect human companion(s) – could this be you?

We are looking for an adult only home with experienced dog owners willing to help settle Hades in to a normal home life and show him the ropes. He can be nervous of strangers, so any adopters will need to be willing to make multiple visits to the centre to get to know him, but it’s definitely worth it, as once you have built that trust, you will see how sweet and affectionate he can be!

On arrival at the centre, Hades was very under socialised, therefore quite fearful of new environments and noises, but he has been a brave boy and come such a long way since, now walking confidently on lead and dealing with busier areas like a trooper. It’s exciting to see his improvement in such a short time and he will only continue to flourish in an understanding and loving home environment.

Hades is not your typical family lab – he will need a quiet home as the only pet where someone is around for a good part of the day as he does worry when left for too long. He does need work on his basic manners which we have started here at the centre and will need ongoing training in the home. Someone who is patient and confident in handling boisterous dogs is a must as although he has shown us to be a quick learner and is picking up his basic training well, he does know how to push boundaries!
Hades would be a great project for someone who wants to take on a dog with huge potential and is willing to put in the work to reach it. Once Hades is in a settled environment with guidance from a loving owner, we are sure he will reward them with loyal companionship.

If you think you can give Hades the love and structure he needs, please fill out a perfect match form found on the website.
