CAN YOU HELP POOR LEAH – the dog who we helped to see daylight again

Meet our gorgeous Leah, the Poodle cross Maltese. She has been estimated to be around 7 years old but due to her poor condition, she looks a lot older. Leah came into CDCH recently via the RSPCA and was in need of urgent care.

Her coat was so matted that she couldn’t even see. Leah was emaciated, had an eye and ear infections, and needs an extensive dental as her teeth are in such poor condition.
Leah was seen urgently by our vet to assess her condition and start treatment to make her feel much more comfortable. She is on daily medication for her infected eyes and ears and is on a strict diet plan to help improve her body condition. Once Leah is feeling a bit better we also need to carry out an extensive dental and spay her. She feels so much better just having had a good groom! Leah had to have her eyes covered whilst she was groomed to protect them from the light as we suspect she hasn’t seen daylight for some time.
 
Leah is a fun-loving little girl. She loves her food and her nose is always to the ground. She is very happy that she gets to have meals small and often. Extra meal times are always a bonus.

When an animal comes into us in the condition that Leah was in, it will come at quite a cost to CDCH. Leah needs extensive medical care, vaccinating, spaying, microchipping, and of course lots of love and care from the team.
 
Can you help us raise the £850 estimated to cover beautiful Leah’s medical and food costs and help her on her journey to a life full of love, comfort, and happiness? We are so lucky to have your support and to be able to provide lovely Leah with a second chance.
