Paws up for Yoko

Yoko is not your average dog – he’s extraordinary!

Yoko the 5 year old Jagd Terrier has now spent a whopping 3 years here at CDCH, after arriving at the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home in February 2021.

With this in mind, Yoko has decided to up his game and join our fundraising team, in his quest to find his forever home and raise support for CDCH!

Yoko has chosen two of his best friends, Natasha Williams- Animal Care Assistant

and Ebony Poole – Animal Operations Lead to escort him on one of his biggest challenges to date.

On the 4th of March 2024, together they will take on the climb of Pen Y Fan.

Pen y Fan is the highest peak in South Wales, situated in Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 meters above sea level, it is also the highest British peak south of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia.

Yoko is asking for your support by Sponsoring him to take on the challenge and raise funds for the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.

Sadly, despite being an amazing character and having multiple meets with new potential adopters, Yoko has found himself without a home of his own for much longer than anticipated and has become far too comfortable with life at the centre, finding it hard to accept new people into his personal space.

Yoko is a typical terrier with a high prey drive, a quirky personality and he sure loves to dig.  But he is also fun-loving, low maintenance, and has stolen the hearts of many as well as built some amazing bonds with the team at CDCH during his time here.

His brave and outgoing nature makes him the perfect match for someone who loves the outdoors and seeks a four-legged companion to share the excitement with.

CDCH has cared for Yoko for the past 3 years and we will continue to do so for as long as it takes for him to find his perfect match and happy ever after.

If you’re an adventure seeker with a warm heart, a comfy sofa and ready to take on a brave and outgoing companion, with all his quirks, then Yoko maybe your perfect match.

Every single animal that comes to the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home instantly becomes part of the CDCH family.

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing an animal we have cared for find their forever home, but sadly every animal’s journey does not come without cost.

Yoko is hoping to raise £2290 towards the ever-growing daily costs of animals in need at the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.

2024 is a leap year, so he has set his target to help cover the costs of caring for the animals at CDCH’s rehoming centre for a whole extra day this year.
Without including all the extra services in the community that we offer, this costs an outstanding £2290 every single day!

This will not only support him but also so many just like him on their journey to find their perfect match and a house they can call their home.

"I fell in love with Yoko the first day he arrived at CDCH, the moment he wagged his little tail at me I couldn't resist his cheeky little terrier ways.

Yoko means a lot to me, he is so loving towards the people he knows and I wish other people could see that. I can't wait to take Yoko on new adventures and see what 2024 brings him."

The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home supports and helps around 118 animals on their journey every month.

These animals come from all different backgrounds including abandoned, abused, neglected, and unwanted.

All of this is thanks to the support and generosity of people just like you, together we can provide a brighter future for all that need us.

Sponsoring Yoko will help provide a warm safe space for the most vulnerable animals and play a vital part in their journey, however long that takes.
