Places to visit in the Cotswolds

Cirencester

 

A beautiful market town, known as the capital of the Cotswolds. Why not pay a visit to one of our two charity shops? They are both dog friendly and ready to greet you and your canine companion with a warm welcome!

 

There are numerous independent shops in Cirencester that are a delight to browse.

Stroud

 

A bustling town with a fantastic range of shops and gorgeous walks along the canal.

 

Set in the scenic Five Valleys, there is no shortage of far reaching views and rolling hills.

Painswick

 

Known as the Queen of the Cotswolds. Historic wool town known for its beautiful views over the Stroud valley.

 

Situated along the Cotswold Way National Trail, it is the perfect place for walkers

Other great spots to explore with your dog include Broadway, with its scenic walks and iconic tower, and Bourton-on-the-Water, where riverside strolls and cosy dog-friendly cafés await.

Rococo Gardens is located in Painswick, and welcomes four-legged family members to visit all year round.

 

Get up close to nature and explore beautiful gardens dating back to the 1700s!

Westonbirt Arboretum (not far from King Charles’ Highgrove estate in Tetbury) is a year-round attraction and a nature enthusiasts paradise.

Dog friendly walking trails, events for children and summer concerts are all on offer at this must-see attraction.

Cotswold Country Park & Beach, located just outside of Cirencester, is the perfect place to enjoy a sunny day. This beautiful oasis offers numerous activities that allow your family dog to get involved.

 

How about exploring the lakes on a swan pedalo? Or cooking up a tasty treat at the BBQ picnic area!

The Cotswold Way is a well-known national trail encompassing all the very best the Cotswolds has to offer.
