This year we are facing an unprecedented number of kittens as a result of the cost-of-living crisis, lack of accessible neutering, and accidental breeding.
Its pushing rescues like ours beyond capacity.
Kitten season used to be a few months. Now, it feels like it never ends.
We are seeing more abandoned, unwanted, and vulnerable kittens than ever before.
Every Kitten that comes through our doors needs food, medical care, warmth and love.
With so many mouths to feed and so many tiny lives depending on us, our resources are stretched thin.
You can help us feed kittens in need by setting up a regular donation.
This is what £10 a month can do:
Provide Food, give them warmth and help them survive.
Your regular gift ensures that we can plan ahead, stock up on kitten milk, weaning mouse and wet kitten meat.
We can provide round-the-clock care for these little ones, many of whom are found abandoned or unwanted, some just days old.
Scrumpy, was found at just three weeks old, suspected of being abandoned, no mum or siblings in sight, and covered in fly eggs. She was in urgent need of help.
Thankfully, Scrumpy arrived in to the care of CDCH, where she’s now safe, loved, and receiving everything she needs until she’s ready to find her forever home.
Kitten care doesn’t stop at the point of rescue.
It’s special food, warmth, vet checks, parasite control, socialising, vaccinations and when ready, neutering.
By gifting just £10 per month, you're helping to keep tummies full and futures bright.
Each month, we receive 60–70 calls from people needing to surrender pets. Many of these calls involve litters of kittens, and with an average litter size of 4 – 6 kittens, the numbers grow fast.
Your support helps us care for these animals when they need it most.
Vet bills like all our other costs are rising, anything raised above our kitten’s needs will be used to help animals just like them at the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.
