We Need Your Vote: Help Us Deliver Lifesaving Support for Pets and Their People

For the first time ever, Petplan Charitable Trust UK is inviting the public to decide who receives a £50,000 animal welfare grant, and we are incredibly proud to be one of the final five organisations in the running.

This opportunity could transform the way we support vulnerable pets and their owners in our community. At the heart of our proposal is a simple but powerful idea: a dedicated electric multi-purpose van that will allow us to move animals in need quickly, safely, and effectively.

Why This Matters

Every day, we meet pet owners facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Financial hardship, poor mental health, and domestic abuse can make it challenging to access even the most basic veterinary care. Without support, pets can suffer in silence, and in some cases, risk being separated from the people who love them most.

This is where your vote can make a real difference.

What the Grant Will Fund

This grant will fund a dedicated electric multi-purpose van, helping us protect dogs and cats when they are most vulnerable and ensuring they can stay with the people who love them.

The vehicle will transport our animal care staff, veterinary professionals, and essential equipment to community outreach clinics local sessions held in accessible settings where we provide:

  • Free health checks
  • Parasite treatment
  • Microchipping
  • Welfare advice
  • Neutering vouchers
  • Emergency veterinary support vouchers

These clinics are a vital lifeline for pet owners who might otherwise go without help.

Reaching Pets in Crisis

The van will also play a crucial role in urgent and emergency situations. It will be used to transport pets to and from veterinary appointments and to safe, temporary foster homes through our Pet Safe Space service.

In addition, it will help us distribute food to our pet food bank collection points ensuring that no pet goes hungry during times of hardship.

Keeping Pets and People Together

Together, these services provide essential support for people facing some of life’s toughest challenges. By delivering both preventative care and emergency assistance, we can stop problems before they escalate and respond quickly when crises arise.

Most importantly, this project helps keep pets where they belong with the people who love and rely on them.

How You Can Help

We are so close to making this vision a reality, but we cannot do it without your support.

Every single vote brings us one step closer to securing this funding and continuing our vital work.

Please take a moment to vote and share our story with your friends, family, and community. Your support could help save lives and keep countless pets safe, healthy, and at home where they belong.

Together, we can make this happen.
