A Purr-fect Update from Woody & Archie’s Forever Home!

Life with Woody & Archie: How Two Rescue Cats Made Our House a Home

When Woody and Archie first arrived at our rescue, it was clear these two brothers were destined to be together. As kittens, their bond was immediately apparent, and their playful yet loving nature quickly won over everyone they met. With Woody’s adventurous spirit and Archie’s quieter, more reserved demeanour, they were the perfect pair—complementing each other in every way. It didn’t take long for Ali & Rory  to realize these two were meant to be part of their lives, and the rest, as they say, is history.

We recently caught up with Rory to see how Woody and Archie have been settling into their forever home, and we’re absolutely delighted with the update!

From afternoon naps to endless playtime, it’s clear that these two brothers are thriving and loving life to the fullest.

Here’s what Ali & Rory had to share:

Thank you for giving us our wonderful boys! We always used to joke that we bought our first house so we could have cats and (1 year and 5 months on) Woody and Archie have very much made it their home. We just pay the mortgage! They are the best furry friends we could ask for and will always be the first proud additions to building our own family.

Ali, Woody & Archies adopter Tweet

“Woody has grown into a rather large confident boy and occasiobally likes to remind Archie who the big brother is (though you can’t say Archie doesn’t ask for it sometimes). He is a boisterous, adventurous explorer and has proved quite adept at hunting birds or the occasional rodent. However he also loves a wand toy, an afternoon nap and a good snuggle in the evenings. Woody will do just about anything for a treat and so we’ve trained him to keep a few tricks up his sleeves. “

“Archer is my little angel, though occasionally he shows his cheeky side too. More timid than his brother around strangers, Archie loves to stay close to home with plenty of cuddles and fetches his favourite toys for you when he decides he deserves your full and undivided attention. This happens to be a large proportion of most days. He is an active contributor in Rorys work meetings and keeps his feet warm under the desk. He also enjoys the occasional movie night and a good evening snuggle. “

We even managed to get a special “quote” from Woody and Archie themselves! (With a little bit of help from Ali & Rory)
