Today, Jenny and Graham continue the tradition, offering friendly, knowledgeable service with a team boasting over 100 years of combined experience. The store has been the home of iconic CDCH collection dogs since the 1960’s where they have become a beloved feature at Brutons. The dogs bring delight to both staff and customers with their charming bells that ring with each donation. Many staff members fondly remember donating to the dogs as children, adding to their nostalgic appeal.
In recent years, the collection dogs began to show signs of wear and tear.
Determined to preserve this cherished tradition, Graham took them to his workshop for some much-needed repairs. With the help of a talented artist, the dogs have been lovingly restored to their former glory.
Now back in their rightful place, the collection dogs are once again ready to welcome donations, much to the delight of the community and store staff.
