CDCH Foster Event

Ever considered opening your home to an animal in need? If so, our foster event may be a date to add to your diary, not to mention, we would love to meet you!

This is an opportunity for any local individuals or families, who are interested in the possibility of caring for a foster animal to….

*Meet the dedicated team at CDCH:

find out all you need to know about our general fostering service and ‘safe space’ scheme, the types of animals in need and how it all works – we are happy to answer all the questions you may have.

*Meet some of the people behind the wonderful organisations we collaborate with:

learn about the important services they provide and how fostering can also benefit them.

Plus, enjoy a hot drink and some baked treats!

Why consider fostering for CDCH?

We help some of the most vulnerable animals in our community, and we want to help more!!

We work with multiple organisations within our local community, to provide assistance to animals, and sometimes their humans too!

A few of these organisations we collaborate with are:

RSPCA – The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

OPCC – Office of the police & Crime Commissioner, Gloucestershire

GDASS – Gloucestershire domestic abuse support services

Stroud Women’s Refuge – Beresford Group

If you would like to explore the idea of fostering, then come along (and spread the word). We hope to see you there!

If possible, do let us know of your potential visit by emailing RehomingTeam@cdch.org.uk, with your name, group number, species of interest and preferred arrival time.

(We ask you to kindly leave your canine companions at home – as you may be lucky enough to meet some of CDCH’s four legged friends)

You can find us at:

The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, Beechmeadow Farm, Elmcote Lane, Cambridge, Gloucestershire, GL2 7AS

We are situated part way down a single track lane, which is located in a layby just off the A38 (opposite The George Pub).
