Creating your Will is a crucial step in securing your loved ones’ future and making sure your wishes are honored. It’s also a chance to leave a legacy that can impact the lives of animals at our centre.
While there’s no obligation to leave a gift to the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home to take advantage of our Will writing offer, however, if you were able to help us in this way, we would be very grateful.
After providing for your loved ones, by leaving even just 1% of your estate to the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, you could make a huge difference to vulnerable animals for years to come.
Without people like you supporting us, we wouldn’t be able to continue to help abandoned, mistreated and neglected animals.
We want to make this process as convenient as possible for you.
Take advantage of this opportunity by completing your Free Will online Today! Or if you would prefer over the telephone with a trained counsellor.
Either way, each Will is checked by legal experts and legally binding for your wishes.
Animals like Astro show just how powerful your support can be. Astro arrived at the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home as a shy young, entire male from a multi-cat household. He was in need of care, love, stability, and a safe space to start fresh.
Astro is naturally a little nervous because of his start in life, but our dedicated team worked patiently with him. By giving him space and gentle encouragement, they helped him build confidence and feel secure in his new environment. It’s a slow and steady process, but one that is essential for his wellbeing and future happiness.
Since arriving, Astro has received a full health check, along with flea and worm treatment, and has begun his vaccination program. These vital steps ensure that he is healthy and ready for the next stage of his journey. He has been neutered, made to feel safe and our team began the careful process of finding him a forever home, giving him the happy, secure future that every animal deserves.
Astro’s story is a perfect example of the difference you can make.
Every act of support helps us provide medical care, safety, and hope to animals like Astro. By taking advantage of Free Wills Month, you have the opportunity to secure your own future while leaving a lasting legacy for animals in need. With your help, more animals can have a second chance; just like Astro.
The Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home appreciates each and every gift no matter the size, even a small percentage of an estate can make a huge difference.
Your legacy will live on, helping to care for some of the most vulnerable, abused, and sick animals in need. Whether they need support from our re-homing centre or veterinary care at our clinic, we are always here for them.

At the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, we share your passion for animals. We have been providing care and support to vulnerable animals in our community for over 85 years.
We work tirelessly to support over 1,000 animals each and every year living in our community. We find wonderful families for pets who need a new home.
CDCH also provides access to veterinary treatment for pets living with financially vulnerable families through our subsidised veterinary clinics, ensuring no animal suffers because of cost.
Although the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home is proud to be part of the independent RSPCA branch network, we would like to emphasise that we are an independently funded branch that depends on the generosity of the community, so each and every gift no matter how large or small has a huge impact and is deeply valued.
A: If you die before making a will, the government will follow the rules of intestacy, a set of guidelines that decides who gets your assets. But these rules are over 100 years old, so do not consider modern family dynamics like unmarried couples, step-children or your personal preference. If you’ve got children under 18, and have not appointed a legal guardian, social services and/or the courts can make decisions about who takes care of them.
A: Writing a will lets you do more than appoint guardians for your children, you can also choose who looks after your pets if something happens to you. Please see our Pet promise here for more information.
