HELP BUSTER BREATHE MORE COMFORTABLY

Meet Buster, the fun-loving French Bulldog.

Buster is 5 years old and recently came into the care of The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.

Buster is known as a ‘brachycephalic’ dog breed.

Due to his short, flat face, he has obstructed and abnormally narrow nostrils and windpipes. This can cause some dogs to struggle to breathe normally.

It’s not just breathing problems that can affect ‘brachycephalic’ dog breeds. Due to their extreme body shape, these beloved family pets can suffer from lifelong diseases and illnesses that are expensive and extremely distressing for pets and their owners.

Buster is a real cuddle monster. When he came into our care he quickly made some best friends and loves to come into the office to have unlimited cuddles from our office staff – how could we resist!

Buster will need to have BOAS surgery. This will help open his airways and help him breathe with ease. You might remember Brutus, the English Bull Dog, and Daisy, the French Bulldog at CDCH who also required this surgery.

This is becoming more common and we need your help to ensure these animals can carry out the activities they love to do like go for walks and play.

We need to raise £800 for Buster’s surgery. Please help and donate what you can, a few pounds will really make a difference.

Without the support from our PAWsome family, we wouldn’t be able to help hundreds of vulnerable animals every year. A massive heartfelt thank you from everyone at CDCH.

Any amount raised over the cost needed for Buster will help her other resident friends at the centre.

Thank you!
