We were thrilled to welcome, Dr. Scott Miller to The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home as part of his 12 Rescues of Christmas series.
During his visit, Dr Scott met Poppy, a brave dog who arrived, with two broken teeth, patches of fur missing, and a body marked by scars and wounds, due to being bullied in a multi-dog home.
Thanks to our dedicated team of vets and animal care assistants, Poppy has found her forever home, and Dr Scott had the pleasure of waving her off to her new family, just in time for Christmas.
Dr. Scott joined forces with the Improve International team, who provide veterinary training, to volunteer their time cleaning cattery pods, creating enriching activities for our feline residents, and, of course, sharing plenty of cat cuddles!
The Improve International team presented Haley Medlock, CDCH Fundraising Manager with a very generous donation of £1000 plus a bag of Christmas goodies for the residents of the centre.
“I had a great time with the lovely team and animals at The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home, seeing the incredible work they are doing to help rescue animals and animals in the community. Providing all animals, whether they have a home or not, access to quality vet care. Rescues around the UK and world are currently struggling with unprecedented waiting lists, and with the cost of living crisis it is even more expensive to feed and house animals in rescue, so anything you can give back to rescue animals goes a long way.
