Urgent Appeal: Help Give Percy the Care He Desperately Needs

Percy arrived at our rescue centre heartbroken after the passing of his beloved owner.

It is clear that Percy was once cherished and well-cared for, but now this sweet senior gentleman urgently needs your help to regain his health and find his forever home.

Donate Today to give Percy the chance to live out his golden years pain-free and surrounded by love.

This sweet elderly cat, has shown nothing but love since arriving at the centre.

His fondness for lap snuggles and his gentle, affectionate nature make us believe he must have known the comfort of a caring home before.

He loves attention and happily purrs his heart out, longing for a warm lap to call his own once again.

Percy requires urgent dental surgery

Percy requires urgent dental surgery to treat his dental disease and alleviate his mouth pain including a few dental extractions. Due to his senior status, comprehensive blood tests were essential to ensure it was safe for him to undergo anaesthesia.

Due to Percy’s age he needs to visit the veterinary hospital for his procedure, where he will receive the specialised care he needs.

During his surgery, Percy will be given fluids to support his vital organs and be closely monitored using advanced equipment to ensure his safety.

Dental X-rays will allow the veterinary surgeon to see beneath his gumline, helping to prevent future dental issues and hopefully reduce the need for additional anaesthesia down the road.

In addition to his dental needs, Percy also has a mass on his left shoulder, suspected to be a cyst.

To prevent having to go through another anaesthetic and help him feel more comfortable, this will be removed during the same procedure.

Percy needs your support

Percy is a gentle, loving boy who deserves nothing less than the best possible care.

However, complex dental procedures of this nature can come at great cost.

We urgently need your support to raise the necessary funds for Percy’s surgery and recovery.

Once Percy is feeling better, he will be looking for a special home with a comfy sofa to snooze on and a loving family to call his own.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping this sweet senior boy get the medical care he so desperately deserves.

Percy spends most of the day curled up in bed, but the moment you step into his pod, he comes out, eager for some attention.

He loves his food so it would be amazing for him to have his teeth in tip top shape so he can enjoy lots of treats in his retirement years.

As soon as you start fussing over him, he begins to purr, his eyes lighting up with happiness. He even tries to climb into your lap, longing for that extra bit of closeness. He’s such a sweet old boy with so much love to give.

It’s the kindness and belief in second chances that make stories like Percy’s successful.

It’s not uncommon for animals entering the centre to require dental procedures, as many arrive with dental issues that need attention.

In fact, we spend a significant amount each year on dental treatments to ensure our animals are comfortable and healthy.

These procedures are essential for their overall well-being, and we’re committed to providing the best care possible. Your support will help us continue to provide this crucial care for Percy and others like him.

Vet bills like all our other costs are rising and Percy is just one of many animals who need our help every day. Anything raised above Percy’s needs will be used to help animals just like him at the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.
